the charcoal kiln in earnest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBamboo, which in some parts of Japan today is even regarded as a nuisance,\u003cbr\u003eis cut down by Mr. Shimomoto himself in the mountains.\u003cbr\u003eAfter applying heat treatment, he smokes it in his own charcoal kiln\u003cbr\u003eand uses the deeply blackened bamboo to craft cutlery as tools for daily
